Ecocultural Somatic Practitioner

Trauma-informed Care: Maya Abdominal Therapy | Hakomi-informed Somatic Coaching & Bodywork | Relationship & Intimacy Coaching | Collective Healing Facilitation

Hello, kin.
Thanks for Being here.

I‘m Carrie. I’m a mother, partner, co-parent, bird nester, adult child, friend, somatic practitioner, health care provider, community organizer, and visionary. My life’s work has been tending to the places within and around me that benefit from presence, love, and deep care.

A long, unfolding personal journey into the soma (body) has taught me that the vessels we inhabit are wise; our bodies skillfully protect, store, respond, and release experiences that meet us in these modern and complex times.

As an ecocultural somatic practitioner, certified massage therapist, and holistic pelvic care specialist, I guide individuals, couples, and groups to deepen resilience, connection, and intimacy through the interconnected lenses of the soma (body), culture, and place.

I have a trauma-responsive practice offering somatodynamic pelvic care, bodywork, and Hakomi-informed somatic coaching. With the support of my lineages in Hakomi, ISITTA, Arvigo Maya Abdominal Therapies, Holistic Pelvic Care, and Politicized Somatics alongside 14+ years of intentional building and fine-tuning my work, I deeply understand the relationship and need for mind-body interventions and care. My practice aims to build and bridge cognitive and somatic awarenesses with one’s social and ecological landscapes, ancestral lineages, and the innate healing capacity of the body toward a deeper, more sustainable connection with yourself, others, and the world around you.

My work pairs well with existing psychotherapy and physical therapy. I support you in widening your capacity for life and reclaiming your body’s ability and access to healing, joy, and pleasure. I’m glad to be part of your support team on your healing journey.

I am committed to equanimity, equity, and reciprocity. I believe in cultivating containers of dignity, reverence, and deep care for the spectrum of human emotions, the lived experiences of bodies, and the web of life we belong to.

Offerings

“The care and attention that Carrie embodies creates the safe container needed to navigate the inner workings of the heart, mind, and spirit. I have had entire inner worlds open that have created a path to purpose and healing. She creates the space needed for your inner wisdom to unfold.”

What would it mean to inhabit your life from within, allowing your embodied knowing to become your outward, authentic expression?

Clients who seek my support are those who are drawn to inner work, are keenly self-aware, and are ready to embody more freedom to be in their Wholeness, with all emotions, desires, and lived experiences named, witnessed, and honored for where it’s brought them in their lives.  Burnout is here, the facade begins to crack, and the masking, people-pleasing, and martyrdom that was once needed to survive are no longer tools that work on this part of your journey. Here, the Path home to your Authentic Becoming begins.
